Mechatronics Senior Capstone
Mechatronics Senior Capstone provides a comprehensive project-based learning experience, culminating in the design, construction, and validation of an automated system. Students will work in teams, applying principles of mechanical design, control systems, embedded programming, and sensor integration to address a real-world engineering challenge. The course emphasizes iterative design processes, system-level thinking, project management, and rigorous documentation, including design specifications, detailed schematics, software code, test plans, and performance validation reports. Through this hands-on endeavor, students will hone their problem-solving abilities, teamwork, and technical communication skills, preparing them for advanced roles in the mechatronics industry. The final project requires demonstrating a functional prototype and presenting its capabilities and development process.
